JAI TIGGETT is a writer, producer, and Florida native who's written for television series at Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon, Fox, and Spectrum. She has developed and sold projects with 20th Century Studios, Freeform, FX, Indian Meadows, Cavalry Media, Harper Road, DeVon Franklin Productions, Codeblack Films, Lionsgate, and others. 

 

Jai was an honoree of WGA’s Writers Access Project, a fellow in the Fox Writers Lab, and a graduate of the WGA Showrunner Training Program. She graduated film school from Florida State University and UCLA before beginning her career in independent film.  Her writing on entertainment and pop culture has appeared on Indiewire, Shadow & Act, Ebony, Women & Hollywood, and others.  She has curated film and new media in New York and Los Angeles.

 

Jai is a reformed arts kid who grew up performing vocal music and theatre, reading and writing literature, and drawing and painting. She has performed at venues across the United States including Carnegie Hall and Rockefeller Center. Jai enjoys long walks on the beach, Wes Anderson movies, the Oxford comma, and volunteering in the arts.
